About the Teacher
Robert McLaughlin, owner and director of the Centre for Well Being in Philadelphia, PA, practices Physical Therapy and conducts courses in Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation. He is a specialist in yoga therapeutics.
Mr. McLaughlin’s education in this field is extensive. After graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, he was the Chief Physical Therapist at Northeastern, Lower Bucks and St. Mary’s Hospitals. He was also Senior Staff Therapist at Frankford Hospital.
In 1972 his world changed forever when he attended a course in Meditation. Mr. McLaughlin then underwent a succession of deep, spiritual experiences that ultimately guided him into becoming a TM instructor.
After participating in a one month residential course on the science of creative intelligence, Mr. McLaughlin continued his studies in Vittel, France and Zinal, Switzerland for six months learning directly from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the secrets of correct practise. He also attended a six month advanced teacher training in St. Moritz, Switzerland, to study extended meditation and develop knowledge of the Siddhis.
In 1993, Mr. McLaughlin earned a diploma in ayurvedic medicine from Maharishi Vedic University. In 1997 he received another diploma from The New England School of Ayurvedic Medicine.
